The Scalarworks LEAP 1.57" mount with the MFI Ultra Low mount allows for perfect use of the iron sights and a view of a Aimpoint-type dot that is unobstructed by the front sight hood.. Do you us the G3 sight in position 1 with the red dot for a more open view? Then do you use position 2 for the iron sights? I'm thinking about doing the same thing and wanted to check before swapping the rear drum sight.

I love the MP5 sight picture, does anyone know of a set of ironsights that will deliver this on a 16" ar15?. I mounted an Aimpoint T2 on my SP5 using an Infitech mount that allows the optic to co-witness with the iron sights. Liked it so much I put the same setup on my Umarex made MP5 22.
