When installing the switch, do not handle in the middle where the contacts are. If you bend the contacts, it will not work as it's supposed to. Also, make sure the switch lever is in the middle position which will reduce the chances of damaging the contacts. Remove Switch Tip for easier installation DO NOT handle the switch in the middle where the contacts are.. Les Paul Coil Split Mod For the more adventurous modder, this diagram requires a certain level of expertise. But if you're looking to add more tone variations to your Les Paul then this is the mod for you! The addition of the two push-pull pots allows for coil-tapping of both humbuckers.
