Check Charging System Hello everyone, First off, wonderful place to lean a lot about our MDX I have an '08 MDX Elite - Canadian. 135K KM. Driving yesterday and the "Check Charging System" came on along with the battery light. I was scared as I was about 30 km away from home. Made it home fine - didn't touch the car today.. Hey guys, as the title says I got a "Check charging system" light come up on the dash while driving. my first guess was the alternator is failing, so I made it home and immediately checked the battery voltage while the car was off. It read 12.6 V or something like that. Measured the voltage while it was running, reading 14.1V.
