C. ADF COVER OPEN . 1. Open the ADF document support cover (1). 2. Open the ADF cover, located on the left side of the top of the machine. NOTE: Pull up on the cover near the front and the back to release both latches (marked with the green circles in the image below). 3. Close the ADF cover securely.. To clear the message "Cover Is Open, Close the ADF Cover" from the display, follow the steps listed below: 1. Unfold the ADF document support. 2. Open the ADF cover. 3. Close the ADF cover and the ADF document support. 4. Press the STOP/EXIT button on the control panel.

5. Turn the Brother machine around with the back of the machine facing you. 6. Open the back cover by pulling on the tab in the center of the cover and swing it down. 7. Open the fuser cover (1) by pulling on the green tabs at the left and right side. 8. If there is paper inside the machine carefully remove it. 9. Close the fuser cover, then..
