Danae Elon is an award-winning filmmaker, producer, and cinematographer based in Montreal. A graduate of NYU鈥檚 Tisch School of the Arts, she has directed, produced, and shot a body of work that explores the relationship between the personal and the political through intimate and powerful narratives.. Montreal-based Elon was shooting between 2019 and 2022 - before October 7th last year. Editing took a small eternity. "As we reached our rough cut, which wasn't working, all of a sudden, this big catastrophe happened." She talks of the "incredible loneliness" she felt in this period and her sense that she wasn't accepted by anyone.
